Mini Haul: Lumene Skin Care, etc.

Posted on: June 21, 2009

A very small haul, mainly skin care and some small things. I wanted to wait until my MAC purchases came in, but I’ll just put that in a later post. I’m going to focus more on the skin care items that I purchased because they’re my current favorite items these past few weeks.

Lumene is a Nordic brand with a wide variety of skin care and cosmetics. Their skin care is sectioned off in age ranges.

I really like the cleanser – it doesn’t leave my skin all dry and tight, yet my skin feels clean and smooth. Those beauty drops in the far right are my favorite! I put this on before my moisturizer and it leaves my skin matte and helps my moisturizer absorb into my skin much faster. It also leaves my skin super smooth. As for the Time Freeze serum, I use that at night and apply it before I use my night cream. Its really soothing and it gives off a slight cooling sensation. I have noticed a difference in my skin. My skin has less dry patches (around my cheeks), it isn’t as oily (especially in the t-zone!) as it was before and my skin looks brighter and my skin’s texture has been much smoother. Plus, these items are very affordable, so go and give this line a look.

Ok, I know that there a lot of people out there who like the YesTo line. But honestly, I don’t really see what the hype is all about. This eye gel is the only product I have from this line and I wasn’t impressed. It cost US$15 and that isn’t including tax for that small thing. Yes, I know that eye products are a little more on the pricier side, but really, this is worth its price. It gave a cooling sensation, but that faded quickly after a few seconds. As it was absorbing, my eye area felt sticky and uncomfortable. It took long to sink in. I didn’t really see an improvement in my eye area. The Hanwoong Collagen Hydro Eyepatch worked much better than this and it cost much cheaper. Sorry YesTo lovers, but I not going to purchase anything else from this line. I’m just going to stick with Olay, Roc, Laneige and Shiseido.

I didn’t want to purchase any Jesse’s Girl products because I thought that they were too glittery for me. I’m not a big fan of shimmer and glitter as much as I used to be, but these colors were really nice and I couldn’t resist! And what I liked about them the most?

Look how packed it is – its crazy! But the new pots have a sifter now, so its not as packed as this one – but less messy.

You can’t really see here, but when you look at different angles, you see different colors. I especially love Sunlit Cactus! It has beautiful green and olive specs in it – gorgeous! These work wonderfully as highlighters and as blending colors.

Along with the pigments/shadows, I purchased Pretige eyeliners from there Smooth Minerals line. These pencils glide on very nicely and they don’t tug on your eyelid. I also got some MAC pigment samples and purchased an eyeliner brush from Stars Makeup Haven. Its nice and pretty thin, but I haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet. Also, I bought the Olay Quench with the gradual tanner, but it’s not doing much for me. The TREsemme 24 Hour Body finishing spray is crap – total BS! It didn’t even hold my style all day, and my hair became flat after a few hours. I wouldn’t buy this again. Hopefully I can start doing some makeup looks here soon and thanks everyone for viewing and/or commenting! I hope you like my mini haul and reviews. Bye lovelies! ♥

What veggie did you buy for the YesTo eye gel? You should smell the carrots line, they all smell heavenly! And you should try their carrots contour cream, really good but not oily

And I added you to my blogroll~

I bought the Cucumber one cause of my skin type. I heard about the Carrots line but I’m not sure if I want to try it out yet. Right now its not my favorite. Maybe later in the future, though.

And thanks! Added you as well.

That certainly doesnt qualify as a ‘mini’ haul! You should’ve seen my micro-mini Body Shop&elianto hauls in my post; now that’s mini. Hehee.

BTW, that Jesse Girl stuffs there are cute! šŸ˜‰

Haha. Its small to me because it doesn’t fill the area, lol. I know, they’re so pretty I really can’t use them because I’m afraid of running out. My Rite Aid always runs out of their stuff, lol.

Haha what a total opposite! Me on the other hand, if I like a certain makeup, I’ll wear it more often so that it’ll run out fast, AND I can buy the new one even sooner~unless it’s way outta my budget.

Haha I use to do that too, but if this product wasn’t so popular, I would do that. But its always sold out, lol. *dies*

Hey Dee, those Pigments look really pretty. The pink one really rocks. Wish I could see a pic of yourself wearing those pigments šŸ™‚
Oh and i just discovered that you are a November baby like me šŸ˜›
hehe

I would love to post a pic, but my cam sucks so I’m not sure if it’ll pick up the color, lol. But thanks for your comment! Yay for November<3 šŸ˜€
