When I first started using makeup, I always tugged on my skin – especially on the eye area. Now I just started seeing a few fine lines around my eyes and I wanted to start preventing premature sagging. It’s better late than never yea? So I decided to try the Hanwoong Collagen Hydro Eyepatch.

I inherited dark circles from my mom’s side so there’s not really much for me to do besides getting enough sleep, drinking water, etc to prevent my eyes from getting darker and avoiding puffiness. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t take better care of my eye area. Signs of aging all start there and I want to do what I can to slow down the process. I ordered the 5-pack from a forum and I recieved it in about 2-3 weeks (I ordered from Georgia and I’m located in California). Its not a miracle worker, but it did give some nice results. One packet had two eye patches and I placed them on before I go to sleep for about 20 minutes. Right when I open the packet I touched the gel (Hydrogel) and its icy cool. When I applied it under my eyes, the cooling sensation feels very soothing. I also felt a bit of tightening going on as well. After trying it 2-3 times, I noticed my eyes were brighter, my fine lines seemed to soften and my dark circles actually looked a tad lighter. So I’m definitely going to order some more. I recommend this to anyone who wants a quick fix with puffiness, but I think those with really dark circles wouldn’t really get anything much out of this.
I’m a sucker for face masks, and I tend to try whatever I can just to see what it can do for my skin. One of my favorites so far is a korean brand called Clearderm. In a variety of masks (from whitening, green tea, royal jelly, ginseng, tomato, etc.), to help target your skin’s needs.
I’m pretty sure that there could be more, but these are the ones I came across so far.
There are 12 varieties:
Whitening – prevents pigmentation, liver spots and freckles and whitens skin beautifully in a natural way to treat sunburn parts and melanogenesis.
Green Tea – Decreases acne, and protects skin from sun damage
Royal Jelly – Protects skin from dehydration and prevents inflammation.
Seaweed – Detoxifies facial Pores, Purges out toxins leaving skin fresh and pure.
Aloe – Treats acne and scars, and is a anti-aging product.
Ginseng – Restores skin tone and gives back moisture
Apricot – Moisturize and replenish skin while strengthen skins natural moisture.
Potato – Restores skin tone and gives back moisture
Tomato – Softens and smooths out dry skin.
Lemon – Reduces blackheads gaining a brighter and more refresh complexion.
Cucumber – Has strong moisturizing abilities.
Herb – Improves health, vitality, and moisturizes.
I purchased the whitening, seaweed and green tea masks. When you open the package, the sheet mask is pretty big so I’m sure people wouldn’t have an issue about the size. The only thing that troubled me was that the eye area didn’t fit well, so I had to cut a bit of the mask so the inner corners wouldn’t bother my eyes. I always applied the mask at night, but if you prefer to it during the day, go right ahead. I left the mask on for about 20-30 minutes and peeled it off. It was very soothing and I love the tingle sensation it gave off (I’m a sucker for that too). After, whatever “essence” or liquid that was left on my face, I massaged it into my skin and neck. My skin was super soft and a few of my blemishes also went away and my skin felt a tad “tighter”. It gave my skin a nice glow and the smell was pretty nice too. I would definitely recommend these masks for people who have dry skin or anyone who want that extra moisture.
I recently got into Japanese and Korean skincare products after my acne breakout. My skin’s texture wasn’t the same and my pores were really clogged even when I’ve use scrubs, masks, everything. After using the A.C. Care TLab Solution and gotten some pretty good results, so I wanted to see if other products would work for my skin.
Somang (spelled sOmang), is one of the best selling skincare brands in Korea. I bought the sOmang 메이컵 Pack. I thought it was a peel-off mask since that’s what my friend said it was, but it turned out to be a wash-off mask. When applied, there’s a little tingling sensation. After using, my skin felt so much smoother and looked “brighter”. It didn’t dry out my skin, which was a plus for me. After a few uses, some of my black and whiteheads on my nose disappeared. Though I don’t recommend this if your face has a serious case of black and whiteheads because I don’t think it would work very well. The mask also contains extracts of apple, cucumber and lemon. Its a little fragrant, but nothing overwhelming. Each packet is about enough for one use. If your face is small like mine (which is about 1 palm size), you’ll get maybe 4 uses from one packet.
I’ve always had clear skin. But after I graduated highschool, I had an acne outbreak. I tried tons of products that didn’t work for me. A few months ago, I was browsing Illustrious Forums, I went to take a look at the Marketplace to see what other members were selling. I came across a sample of A.C. Care TLab Solution, which was being sold by a friend. She only had one sample, so I figured I should give it try since nothing else worked for me.
“A. C. CARE T. LAB. SOLUTION is a composed word of ADVANCED + ACNE + CARE + Trouble + Laboratory and Solution. Meaning that of professional troublesome skincare cosmetic brand with advanced scientific technology.”
The sample I purchased consists of four products; Gentle Foaming Cleanser, Cure Formular Serum, Barrier Emulsion and Soothing Toner. This product is simply amazing. It has no nasty odor or residue, and made a huge difference in my skin’s texture. After just one use, my skin was immediately softer, smoother to the touch. The Cure Formular Serum is definitely the finishing touch and my acne started to disappear. I would give this product a full 5/5 rating if it wasn’t for its expensive price for the real set.
